Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead nationwide data analytics initiatives for underwriting, renewal negotiations, and client decision-making. This remote role supports the IOA Benefits Group with analysts, producers, and account teams.

You will analyze underwriting and claims data, develop actionable insights, and deliver dashboards and reports to drive strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision-making.
  • Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations to support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
  • Deliver data-driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
  • Provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
  • Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices to improve consistency and results.
  • Utilize and evaluate analytics, reporting, and BI tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improved performance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, analytical capabilities, and service delivery.
  • Partner with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support client objectives.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities.
  • Provide analytical guidance and support team development through knowledge sharing and subject matter expertise.
  • Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and established analytical procedures.
  • Demonstrate integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions.
