Allianz Trade in North America seeks a seasoned surety professional to lead regional underwriting strategy and portfolio growth. You will cultivate broker relationships, market capabilities, and underwrite profitable surety accounts while aligning with global risk standards.

The role requires leadership, strong market knowledge, and the ability to travel. You will collaborate across the Americas and with international teams to drive growth.

Qualifications

• College degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance.
• 7+ years industry experience, predominately as an underwriter.
• Knowledge of contract surety and U.S. surety market.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to establish goals and objectives.
• Proven ability to develop broker relationships and grow a portfolio.
• Experience creating marketing, business plans, and budgets.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand Surety in the region.
• Underwrite and grow a profitable portfolio via broker relationships.
• Document decisions and recommendations clearly and consistently.
• Build and maintain nationwide broker relationships.
• Conduct account and portfolio underwriting per guidelines.
• Collaborate with Allianz teams across the Americas and internationally.
• Coordinate with global Surety teams to align risk and underwriting issues.
• Participate in industry groups and local surety events.
