Job Purpose

The Key Account Sales Specialist, Marine role will be responsible for managing the operational business for National Accounts and select boat builder relationships. Provide account & channel support to the National Account store locations to ensure they receive what they need to succeed in selling the Honda brand. Responsible for order placement in internal and National Account portal systems. This role will focus on building our boat builder sales channel and identifying new opportunities.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Serve as the main point of contact for national accounts within the marine division, ensuring strong relationships with clients and maintaining consistent communication.
  2. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, POS trends, and account growth.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking or product allocation based on national account needs.
  4. Work with management to review and negotiate pricing, terms, and financial conditions with national clients as needed.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, logistics, marketing) to ensure smooth execution of national account strategies and initiatives.
  6. Coordinate with marketing teams to deliver displays, brochures, or product updates to national clients.
  7. Manage sales order entry, customer request dates, scheduled ship dates, and address holds on orders for Honda Marine outboard products.
  8. Analyze, create, and develop new sales opportunities with boat builders.
  9. Interact with internal and external customers in inside sales, serving as a key contact for Honda Marine outboard products.
  10. Assist sales team with tasks related to sales and business development of Honda Marine.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  1. Minimum Educational Qualifications: 4-year degree in Marketing or Business OR equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum Experience: 3+ years in Marine Industry, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), experience selling Marine outboard engines or boats.
  3. Desired Experience: B2B sales, working with national accounts, SPS Analytics Software, Power BI.
  4. Other Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively.
