Provide hands-on sales, marketing, and channel strategy consultation to owners, management companies, hotel Directors of Sales, and General Managers for all IHG brands in franchised hotels when deployed by Franchise Performance Support (FPS) or as needed by Operations Analytics & Insight or other groups at IHG. Develop strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue. Work with hotel teams to identify skill development areas and deploy sales and marketing resources effectively. Provide guidance on segmentation to maximize revenue potential. Identify performance opportunities and recommend tools and training to optimize sales team performance. Assist in identifying target accounts and potential for each hotel.
Your day-to-day
- Collaborate with FPS to ensure a seamless process for hotels and clients. Partner with Franchise Revenue team on sales and revenue strategies.
- Develop relationships with key management companies.
- Diagnose root causes of issues at hotels, prioritize information, and create specific action plans based on data analysis to deliver incremental revenue and improve market share.
- Analyze market research data to identify performance gaps and determine hotel strengths and weaknesses relative to competitors.
- Based on hotel assessments, determine appropriate consultation with stakeholders via phone or in person.
- Develop tactical and strategic sales and marketing plans with hotels, owners, and management companies to maximize revenues and market share.
- Identify potential clients and assist local sales teams in developing account penetration plans.
- Review and improve IHG sales processes using training and tools.
- Consult on best practices, sales tools, and brand information to enhance sales strategies and market segment penetration.
- Assess channel strategies and advise on actions to optimize revenue through channel management.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding next steps for hotel and owner action plans.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business, or relevant experience in hotel operations.
- 8+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in hotel operations management or sales and marketing, with regional or multi-hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt consultation based on hotel size and type.
- Strong relationship-building skills with owners, hotels, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of marketing, sales principles, and channel strategy.
- Ability to interpret hotel performance data and develop tailored action plans to enhance revenue and market share.
- Understanding of hotel business mix, booking patterns, and demand generators.
- Experience in developing business travel strategies and managing RFP processes.
- Ability to analyze data related to business travel accounts and travel agencies.
- Experience in developing account plans to increase share of business.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $58,834.00 to $110,000.00. This role is eligible for bonus pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and more.
