Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacist In Charge, manage daily functions, and prepare medications. You will assist with controlled substances handling, ensure accurate stock, and uphold safety and compliance standards.

Daily duties include maintaining floor stock, processing returns, packaging meds for shipping, and aligning with departmental policies. Shifts are 11:00am-7:30pm or 12:30pm-9:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• Accurate medication and generic knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Creating a safe, effective environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions
• Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room
• Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications in a timely manner
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications
• Package fill and ship medications
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
• Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor
