Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00am–4:30pm role.

You will support the Pharmacist In Charge, stock Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS), enter data, resolve discrepancies, and provide reports while maintaining CARE values.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician required.
• One year of long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and data entry preferred.
• Able to use various programs and troubleshoot ADS problems.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Fills Automated Dispensing System restocks for facilities.
• Adds medications into the Automatic Dispensing System (ADS).
• Analyses and adjusts quantities for different facility ADS.
• Assist with trouble shoot ADS issues.
• Organize setting up and prefill new ADS machines.
• Prepacks medications.
• Handle foils medication into blister cards.
• Maintain active communication with PIC and Lead and pharmacy staff.
• Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
• Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
• Replace potentially expiring inventory.
• Restock depleted inventory.
• Monthly audits (cycle count).
• Provide reports for the facility.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred
