Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist in Florida to join our CARE-driven team responsible for controlled substances safety and compliance. You will ensure accurate medication orders, advise physicians, and maintain patient histories while supporting colleagues and facilities.

You will supervise medication preparation, maintain drug registers, and uphold security standards, with on-call duties as needed. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Florida (FL) required.
  • Previous narcotics experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Frameworks/ECM knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to perform light lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosages, interactions, and administration.
  • Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when needed.
  • Maintain customer databases with medical history and clinical data.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physicians and the healthcare team about medication queries.
  • Supervise preparation of medicines and maintain controlled drug registers.
  • Ensure proper security conditions for medications and respond to on-call duties as required.

Responsibilities
  • Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics)
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
  • Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
  • Maintain customers' database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
  • Communicate with facilities nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related query.
  • Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
  • Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
  • Maintain proper security conditions for medications.
  • Perform "on-call" duties when required.
