Job summary

SpecialtyRx in Sandy Springs, GA, is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to support the Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor. You will assist with daily functions, manage floor stock, and package medications for distribution within a long-term care setting. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to multitask.

Prior experience with controlled substances is preferred. Shift is 10:30am–7:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Licensed GA Pharmacy Technician required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be reliable and able to multitask.
• Basic Math and computer skills.
• Frameworks/ECM knowledge a plus.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor with daily functions.
• Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room.
• Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications in a timely manner.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
• Package fill and ship medications.
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
