Job summary

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy serving facilities and assisted living communities in Florida. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor, maintain stock, process returns, and ensure compliance with safety and procedures.

Applicants should be licensed in Florida, have a high school diploma, and bring attention to detail, reliability, and basic math and computer skills. The shift runs 10:30am–7:00pm with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be reliable and able to multitask.
• Proficient in basic Math and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Assist Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor with daily functions.
• Maintain controlled drugs room and stock.
• Restock floor stock and remove expired medications promptly.
• Process returned drugs and dispose per procedure.
• Rotate medication areas to ensure quality controls.
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed meds.
• Package fill and ship medications.
• Uphold pharmacy standards and adherence to policies.
• Comply with safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Collaborate with team to support pharmacy goals.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor with daily functions.
• Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room.
• Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications in a timely manner.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
• Package fill and ship medications.
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
• Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
