Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a licensed Florida pharmacist to join our team. The role focuses on evaluating medication orders, ensuring correct dispensing, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient safety in a CARE-driven culture.

We value experience in long-term care or hospital/retail settings, strong communication, and solid computer skills. Schedule runs 2:30pm–11:00pm with weekends/holidays rotating, and benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, PTO and EAP.

Qualifications

  • Licensed pharmacist in Florida with active license.
  • Experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Background in hospital or retail pharmacy a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well organized with solid computer skills.
  • Familiarity with ECM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
  • Ensure medicines are correctly dispensed, labeled, and stocked; perform miscellaneous checks.
  • Review medications and narcotics for automated dispensing systems.
  • Clarify orders and perform follow-ups as needed.
  • Obtain emergency CII verbals from physicians when required.
  • Coordinate emergency kits and verify Omnicell cassettes.
  • Perform on-call duties when required.
  • Assist the Pharmacist in Charge with other duties.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration
  • Ensure that dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeledMiscellaneous tasks, checks prepacks
  • Review medications & narcotics for automated dispensing machine
  • Works clarifications on orders and follow-ups
  • Obtain emergency CII verbals from physicians
  • Coordinates emergency kits and checks cassettes for the Omnicell
    machine
  • Perform "on-call" duties when required
  • Complete any other task assigned by the Pharmacist in Charge
Qualifications
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida
  • Long Term Care experience preferred
  • Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Schedule:
