Virtucom, Inc. in Naperville, IL is seeking a Hardware Computer Repair Technician to join our new team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on diagnosing and repairing desktop and laptop devices, with emphasis on hardware and software issues and quality service.

You will install and upgrade operating systems, document repairs in our ticketing system, and collaborate with team members to meet SLAs. Candidates should have 1+ year of repair experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of computer repair experience.
• Strong PC architecture and OS knowledge (Windows, Chrome OS).
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and operate hand trucks/pallet jacks.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow SLAs.
• Preferred: CompTIA A+ certification or pursuing certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair desktops and laptops (hardware and software).
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and drivers.
• Document repairs and ticket resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Disassemble and reassemble devices to replace components (e.g., motherboards, keyboards).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Communicate inventory levels and part requests to leadership.
• Stay current with repair procedures, quality standards, and SLAs.
