Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Farmingdale, ME is seeking a Counter Salesperson to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to our long-standing customers. You will be the face of the store, helping with parts questions and orders.

You will assist with auto parts questions, handle transactions, access parts information, and explain warranties while maintaining a professional appearance in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-person role with weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior automotive background or knowledge; ASE Certification is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with auto parts questions in person or via telephone.
• Handle cash and other purchasing transactions.
• Operate cataloging system to retrieve up-to-date parts information.
• Communicate features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.
• Maintain a positive, professional conduct and appearance at all times.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

ASE Certification (preferred)

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assist customers with their auto parts questions and needs, either in person or via the telephone
• Handle cash and other purchasing transactions
• Operate the electronic and paper cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information
• Effectively communicate features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers
• Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times.

Required skills include:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior automotive background or knowledge, ASE Certification is a plus
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include some weekends
• Must enjoy working with people in a fast paced and exciting environment
