Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Bath Township, OH seeks a technical/scientific manager to lead metal nanoparticle projects from research through production. You will guide design, synthesis routes, and characterization while scaling processes from lab to pilot lines and full manufacturing.

You will oversee daily operations, manage resources and teams, and coordinate with engineering, quality, EH&S, and supply chain to align technical work with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in materials science, chemistry, or nanomaterials with relevant research/industrial background.
• Experience leading technical teams through product development lifecycle and scale-up.
• Familiarity with regulatory, safety, quality standards and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and managerial leadership for metal nanoparticle projects from lab to production.
• Scale up from bench to pilot lines and full manufacturing with robust, reproducible processes.
• Coordinate daily operations, monitor KPIs, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Manage resources, equipment, facilities, and personnel for nanoparticle synthesis and processing.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, EH&S, and supply chain.
