Job summary

WHC Energy Services, LLC is seeking an HR Lead, Talent Acquisition to lead our North American TA function, partnering with SMJV in Canada to recruit for US and Canadian projects across energy, infrastructure, and EPC sectors.

You will drive direct sourcing, manage vendor relationships, and build pipelines while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. The role requires collaboration with senior leaders and travel across North America.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
• SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) or the CPHR designation is an asset.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in talent acquisition or similar role.
• Experience recruiting in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or energy sectors.
• Experience with ATS and recruitment marketing platforms.
• Experience recruiting in the US and Canada with knowledge of respective markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term North America TA strategy spanning professional and technical hiring.
• Lead the North America Talent Acquisition function and set direction for the team.
• Own recruiting vendor relationships and manage costs.
• Use data analytics to monitor metrics and refine recruitment strategies.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across multiple departments and units.
• Source candidates using direct sourcing to reduce agency reliance.
• Manage candidate pipelines and communications with stakeholders.
• Assist hiring managers with job descriptions and align with goals.
• Lead offer negotiations and onboarding processes.
• Build relationships with leaders across both countries and advise on best practices.
