Job summary

Siemens Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead and elevate commissioning across our Grid Technologies portfolio in North America. You will guide HV, FACTS, substations, and grid projects from planning through energization, driving Standardization and best practices while partnering with customers.

You will mentor the NA commissioning team, develop execution strategies, oversee FAT/SAT, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field; AAS in electrical engineering technology or power systems may be considered; PE registration preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in power generation, transmission, or large EPC infra projects; minimum 5 years in leadership.
• Proven experience leading commissioning through energization and commercial operation.
• Willing to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the North American commissioning organization, fostering safety and technical excellence.
• Develop and maintain commissioning execution strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Oversee FAT, SAT, and all commissioning phases to ensure successful energization.
• Promote compliance with EHS standards and industry regulations, ensuring Zero Harm culture.
• Serve as a senior interface for customers, guiding discussions on commissioning strategy and milestones.
