Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command seeks staff to support the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Community Recreation program. Responsibilities include assisting with events, information distribution, and fleet community activities on base.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and knowledge of recreation operations, with a focus on customer service and data reporting for program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service or recreation activity-based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan and administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR mission and scope of Community Recreation activities.

Responsibilities

• Support MWR Community Recreation programs and events (special events, trips, tours, outings, library, movies, outdoor recreation).
• Provide information/resources for recreation and fleet support activities.
• Assist with planning and coordinating events and rental equipment and tickets.
• Maintain records and compile data for reports on recreation topics.
