Job summary

City of New York's Fire Department (FDNY) seeks a full-time M/WBE Program Director within the Bureau of Procurement and Fiscal Services. The role will manage/direct the FDNY MWBE Program and collaborate with the ACCO and MWBE Officer to advance MWBE utilization across agency procurements.

Responsibilities include policy development, vendor outreach, training for buyers, monitoring procurements, and representing FDNY at MWBE events to improve participation while ensuring compliance with city

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, public health, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, plus two years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree with four years of professional experience including 18 months in executive/managerial capacity.
• An associate degree or 60 semester credits with six years of related experience including 18 months in managerial capacity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct FDNY's M/WBE Program and coordinate with ACCO and MWBE Officer.
• Develop policies to improve utilization of City-certified MWBEs in procurements and awards.
• Provide training and assistance to buyers and p-card holders re: MWBE goals and assist vendors with certification questions.
