Job summary

ACT Power Services is hiring a High Voltage/Medium Voltage Technician to install, maintain and repair HV/MV electrical systems for solar O&M projects. The role blends fieldwork with some site-based duties, requiring flexibility to travel to customer sites across the United States.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HV/MV experience, strong electrical theory knowledge, and proficiency with testing equipment. OSHA/NFPA 70E safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• HV/MV experience required with electrical systems knowledge.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair HV/MV electrical systems (typically 5kV–35kV+).
• Test transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays and protective devices.
• Splice and terminate cables following industry standards.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform root-cause analysis.
• Document maintenance activities and test results accurately.
• Assist energizing new or repaired systems under safety protocols.
