Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG, in San Jose, CA, is seeking an individual contributor with a PhD in Electrical Engineering to drive the development of MW-class power conversion platforms for data centers and high-power infrastructure. You will influence platform-level design decisions and collaborate across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

The role focuses on advanced development and prototyping, hands-on lab validation, and direct engagement with customers to translate requirements into engineering

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC, DC/DC, or inverter-based power systems.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% (including Europe/Asia).
• Relocation available for North America candidates only.
• Visa: H1B transfer supported, Green Card, US Citizen, or TN Visa.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate high-power conversion systems ranging from kW to MW.
• Execute topology trade-offs, efficiency optimization, and thermal/EMI analysis.
• Perform hands-on lab bring-up, testing, and debugging.
