Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to serve as the discipline technical authority for MV/LV electrical systems across reactor and fuel manufacturing facilities. You will own power system studies, equipment specification, protection design, and commissioning, from capital projects through operations.

You will set design standards, lead complex problem solving, and provide technical direction and mentorship across the electrical team while maintaining nuclear quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in MV/LV distribution.
• End-to-end ownership on at least one major capital project.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve power system studies and design deliverables.
• Establish and enforce discipline engineering standards across sites.
• Lead architecture and technology choices for first-of-a-kind projects.
• Mentor engineers and participate in hiring and training.
• Lead electrical vendor evaluation and factory acceptance activities.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and safety teams.
