Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Music Therapist to join our team in providing therapeutic music interventions that enhance comfort, dignity, and connection for patients and families.

We offer a full-time schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development within an interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• Certification from MT-BT, NMTR, AMTA or equivalent national body.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support comfort and dignity.
• Use relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly.
• Educate team and participate in quality improvement efforts.
