Job summary

St. Croix Hospice in Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate Music Therapist to bring the healing power of music to patients and families at the end of life.

You will design and deliver personalized musical experiences, assess outcomes, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to align care with each patient's plan. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from an accredited program.
• Board-certified or registered music therapist (MT-BC / registry / AMTA).
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug tests.
• Provide music therapy per plan of care and assess effectiveness.
• Document sessions promptly and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

Music Therapist Requirements & Core Responsibilities:

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• One of the following:
  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT)
  • National Music Therapy Registry
  • American Music Therapy Association
  • Or another national organization that certifies, registers, or accredits Music Therapists.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Use techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly.
• Educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.
