Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Music Therapist to enrich end-of-life care with music-centered therapies. You will assess patients, design individualized plans, and deliver sessions that relieve symptoms and promote emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• Board Certified MT-BT or equivalent certification.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.

Qualifications

Music Therapist Requirements & Core Responsibilities:

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• One of the following:
  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT)
  • National Music Therapy Registry
  • American Music Therapy Association
  • Or another national organization that certifies, registers, or accredits Music Therapists.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Use techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly.
• Educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.
