Job summary

St. Croix Hospice in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a full-time Music Therapist. You will provide music therapy per care plans, assess patient progress, and implement interventions to improve comfort and quality of life. Expect to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and document sessions promptly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• Certification as MT-BT or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Use relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly.
• Educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.

Music Therapist Requirements & Core Responsibilities

• Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with bachelor's degree in music therapy.
• One of the following:
  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BT)
  • National Music Therapy Registry
  • American Music Therapy Association
  • Or another national organization that certifies, registers, or accredits Music Therapists.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test.
• Provide music therapy per plan of care; assess patients and determine effectiveness.
• Implement interventions to relieve symptoms and support emotional, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Use techniques such as relaxation, lyric analysis, songwriting, and life review; document sessions promptly.
• Educate team, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement.
