Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the team responsible for receiving, stocking, and merchandising merchandise to planograms while upholding our culture of integrity and musical passion.

You will partner with the Store Manager to meet EBITDA, sales and margin goals, hire and train operations staff, manage shipping/receiving, warehouse organization, and loss prevention while ensuring safety and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in retail or warehouse environments.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5-8 hours.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager and management team to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing levels within the department including hiring and training operations associates.
• Assist in training all levels of operations associates.
• Oversee shipping and receiving of gear and store items.
• Maintain warehouse organization and stock levels and facility upkeep.
• Lead loss prevention, safety, inventory management, and business reporting.
• Conduct signage/pricing audits weekly to ensure planogram compliance.
• Step in as acting manager to drive sales when needed.
• Handle opening and closing of the store.
