Job summary

East Texas A&M University seeks a Student Worker to assist the Department of Music with library operations, including preparing scores and parts for rehearsal and performance.

You will organize, catalog, and maintain the library, integrate new materials, and perform other duties as assigned while enrolled as a student.

Qualifications

• Be fully admitted to a graduate program.
• Be in good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Be enrolled in courses each term of the assistantship.
• Meet specific credit hour and subject requirements for teaching or lab roles.
• Non-native English speakers must demonstrate language proficiency.
• Research assistants must complete Responsible Conduct in Research training.
• Work up to 20 hours per week, depending on the appointment.
• May have teaching or research assignments, or provide administrative support.

Work Hours and Schedule

May work up to 19 hours per week while classes are in session May work full-time during breaks and summer if enrolled for the upcoming fall Must not work during scheduled class times Open to all actively enrolled students regardless of financial aid status Students do not need to be enrolled during summer if they plan to return in the fall Work-study positions are need‑based jobs funded through federal or state financial aid programs and allow students to earn money to help pay for educational expenses. Must be awarded federal or state work‑study through Financial Aid May work up to 19 hours per week during the semester May work full‑time during breaks and summer if returning in the fall Must not work during scheduled class times Positions are limited to the amount awarded and must follow program guidelines
