Job Summary

The Student Music Library Assistant is responsible for assisting in the organization, maintenance, and promotion of the music library¿s collections and resources. This role contributes to organizing and curating MGA¿s vast collection of choral music and supports student and faculty access to scores, recordings, and digital archives. Maximum work hours per week is 19.

Responsibilities
  • Add titles to the digital catalog of the music library

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Be enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Enrolled as a student at Middle Georgia State University, preferably in Music or related field
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds
  • Must be able to use a simple Excel file
  • Ability to read a musical score is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability and professionalism in meeting commitments
  • Familiarity with digital workflows and file management best practices
