Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools' Music and Art Department, Chelmsford Community Education Center, seeks a Private Music Lesson Program Supervisor for the 2026-2027 school year. Working with the Coordinator of Fine Arts, you will oversee private lesson scheduling, registration support, instructor coordination, and recital planning.

This after-school/evening role requires an appropriate degree and familiarity with the district's music curriculum, plus strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree and knowledge of Chelmsford Public Schools' music curriculum/program
• Associate degree preferred
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Update/create all program activities in our online database and scheduling in addition to processing cancellations
• Coordinate the schedule for all private music lessons
• Provide registration support to the community as needed
• Act as the point person for Music Instructors
• Coordinate and oversee room usage rentals
• Create documents for instructors to report lessons for payroll
• Communicate program public relations/advertising through the Community Education Office
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed
• Organize the Annual Recital and book recital venues
• Recruit teachers and supervise lessons for Summer, Fall, and Winter/Spring sessions
• Schedule piano maintenance as needed
• Meet quarterly with the Coordinator of the Fine Arts and the Director of Chelmsford Community Education
