Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools, through the Chelmsford Community Education Center, is seeking a Private Lesson Music Teacher- Piano for the Spring 2027 program. The instructor will teach private half-hour piano lessons, coordinating with staff and families to deliver high-quality music education.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music, strong communication, and the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners. CORI checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music required or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to foster cooperative teamwork.
• State licensure as music educator preferred; alternatives may be acceptable by Community Education Director.

Responsibilities

• Teach piano skills and music literacy at age appropriate levels.
• Must be able to teach beginning piano.
• Differentiate instruction for students of varying abilities.
• Collaborate with Community Education staff, parents and building faculty to coordinate lessons.
• Must complete a CORI check.
