Education Through Music, Inc. in New York City is seeking a full-time Instructional Supervisor to lead a cohort of NYC music teachers across PreK-12 partner schools. You will ensure high-quality instruction, curricular programming, and professional standards across classrooms.

You will design and implement professional development, provide actionable feedback, and manage teacher performance while coordinating school partnerships and performances that showcase ETM benchmarks.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in music education required.
• Six years of primary/secondary classroom teaching experience.
• Expertise in choir, string orchestra, or band.
• Vocal/instrumental performance capabilities.
• Musical theory and notation literacy.
• Knowledge of pedagogy, educational theory, and child development.
• Google Suite proficiency, including Google Classroom.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience (not with students).
• Regular local travel within NYC five boroughs.

Responsabilidades

• Regular on-site visits to observe music teaching in NYC.
• Design professional development plans to strengthen teachers’ skills.
• Provide actionable feedback and document progress.
• Use ETM disciplinary policies for accountability.
• Train teachers in lesson plans, curriculum, and assessments.
• Guide school partnerships and communications with leadership.
• Schedule and execute student performances meeting ETM standards.
• Ensure music rooms are well-equipped with ETM resources.
• Contribute to ETM knowledge base and training materials.
• Google Classroom authors and managers.
