Zusammenfassung

Education Through Music, Inc. seeks a dedicated school music faculty member to join its NYC program. You will develop in‑school music programs, coordinate concerts, and support students across five boroughs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Music or related field, 1–3 years of classroom teaching, and ability to perform with students. Fingerprinting and DOE eligibility are prerequisites; must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Arts, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience teaching up to 30 children in an organized setting.
• Ability to perform quality singing in front of children.
• Sound musical knowledge and understanding of musical pedagogy practices.
• Physical capability to walk up several flights of stairs and lift up to 15 lb of equipment.

Aufgaben

• Serve as school music faculty.
• Coordinate and develop in‑school music programs with program staff.
• Produce two school‑wide concerts each academic year.
• Attend and assist in school‑wide functions such as assemblies, graduation ceremonies, and after‑school activities.
• Develop comprehensive scope and sequencing of lesson plans.
• Reflect on, implement, and improve existing instructional processes.
