Education Through Music, Inc. (ETM) seeks a full-time Instructional Supervisor to manage NYC PreK–12 music teachers across partner schools, ensuring high-quality instruction and curricular programming.

The role requires regular on-site visits and leadership to drive teacher performance and ETM standards. The position includes salary between $72,100 and $82,400 per year, with security clearance via NYC Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music education is required.
• Minimum of six years of primary or secondary classroom teaching experience.
• One to two years of supervisory experience (not as a teacher of students).
• Expertise in a choir, string orchestra, or band (concert or modern).

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site visits to observe music teachers and instruction.
• Design and implement professional development plans for teachers.
• Provide actionable feedback and document progress.
• Assist in developing lesson plans, curriculum, and assessments aligned with ETM benchmarks.
• Support school partnerships and communications with school leadership.
• Plan and coordinate in-school and public performances.
• Ensure ETM music rooms are equipped and maintained.
