Job summary

Education Through Music, Inc. (ETM) seeks a full-time Instructional Supervisor to lead a cohort of NYC music teachers across PreK-12 partner schools. You will ensure high-quality instruction, curricular programming, and professional conduct in line with ETM standards.

The role involves on-site visits, designing development plans, providing actionable feedback, and guiding teachers in lesson plans, assessments, and performances that showcase ETM benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Regular local travel to NYC partner locations.
• Strong leadership and feedback skills.
• Experience with music pedagogy and child development.
• Experience with curriculum design and teacher training.

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site visits to observe classroom instruction.
• Design professional development plans for teachers.
• Provide actionable feedback and document progress.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating student performances.
• Support classroom management and lesson planning.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in music education

1-2 years of Supervisory experience

Strong communication skills
