Job summary

The Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History are seeking a Part-Time Visitor Services Associate to greet visitors, process admissions, sell memberships, and provide information. The role also supports parking, coat check, and lunchroom operations, with a focus on delivering a positive visitor experience.

Candidates should have strong customer service and cash handling skills, be able to operate Siriusware, and assist groups, with weekend and evening availability required.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have basic computer skills and ability to be trained on Siriusware ticketing system.
• Must be able to handle cash and credit card transactions and balance cash drawer.
• Weekend and evening hours required.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information at the admissions desks.
• Process admissions transactions and sell memberships.
• Direct visitors to admission desks and assist with parking transactions.
• Maintain real-time inventory of available parking spaces and direct traffic when needed.
• Provide on-foot traffic direction and assist with coat check and lunchroom duties.
• Explain admission policies and operate the Ticketing system; balance daily cash.
• Assist school groups and provide support for accessibility and ASL basics.
