The Senator John Heinz History Center is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Associate in Pittsburgh, PA. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, help with admissions, shop, and cafe transactions, and provide information about exhibits and local attractions.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong customer service skills, with weekend availability. This role emphasizes friendly, efficient service in a busy museum environment.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, friendly, and exceptional communications skills are needed to deliver extraordinary customer service.
• Ability to manage telephone, computer, and in-person customer service, often concurrently.
• High school education or equivalent with at least two years of work experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, and assist visitors at the museum and Welcome Center.
• Operate the Museum Shop, Admissions Desk, and Café with accuracy and courtesy.
• Support memberships and help provide visitors with general information about exhibits and events.
