Job summary

Queens Museum is seeking a Visitor Services Associate to assist visitors at the admissions desk and in galleries. This temporary part-time role is onsite in Corona, NY, with a schedule requiring at least two weekdays and one weekend day, typically Wednesday through Sunday, 9:30am–5:30pm.

The position offers hourly pay of $19.00, with the QM clothing-uniform requirement. Ideal candidates bring customer service experience and enthusiasm for art and culture, and Spanish, Mandarin, Bangla, or ASL

Qualifications

• Experience delivering courteous service to the public.
• Ability to handle cash accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist visitors with admissions, tickets, and wayfinding.
• Greet visitors warmly and provide information about exhibitions and programs.
• Guide groups and individuals to exhibits and events as needed.
• Inform visitors about current QM offerings and public programs.
• Stay up-to-date on QM programs and local cultural resources.
• Help resolve visitor questions and concerns during shifts.
• Support setup and breakdown of events and workshops.
