Job summary

The Philadelphia Museum of Art seeks a Visitor Services Assistant to act as a friendly ambassador, greeting guests, guiding them through the museum, operating ticketing terminals, and assisting with admissions, tours, and events. You will promote programs and memberships with a high standard of service.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, 35 hours per week, with weekend, evening, and holiday shifts. You will report to the Assistant Managers of Visitor Services and join the AFSCME Local 397

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Prior cash handling experience.
• Friendly, professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors warmly and provide a welcoming museum orientation.
• Operate ticketing terminals accurately and assist with admissions, tours, and events.
• Promote museum programs and memberships.
• Communicate effectively with visitors and enforce museum policies.
• Collaborate with departments including Development, Special Events, Education, and Protection Services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of visitor spaces and work areas.
