Job summary

The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Security Supervisor who supervises and coordinates the activities of all on duty Gallery Guards and Night Watch Persons. The role monitors protection services and environmental systems, reporting unsafe conditions and ensuring safety of the facility, collection, staff and visitors.

The Security Supervisor normally works 1st shift but may fill in on 2nd or 3rd shifts. Salary is $50,000 per year with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Performs control room operations: monitoring cameras, alarms and fire systems.
• Supervises Gallery Guards and Night Watch Persons for policy compliance.
• Assists in assigning guards and ensures adequate coverage per zones; schedules breaks.
• Oversees protection services opening and closing procedures.
• Assists with roll call when needed and covers shifts to maintain security levels.
• Investigates incidents, accidents, thefts and employee issues as directed.
• Trains subordinates in protective procedures, first aid and fire safety.
• Writes reports on incidents and submits them to Security Operations.
