Job summary

The Columbus Museum of Art seeks a part-time Safety and Security Supervisor to lead the security team, monitor CCTV and alarms, and protect people and museum property. You will collaborate with Facilities, IT, and Curatorial staff to uphold CMA policies and emergency procedures.

The role requires calm decision-making, strong communication, and the ability to manage access control and incident reporting, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass a background check and department training.
• 1 year security supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the safety and security of people and property.
• Perform regular inspections and report hazards per CMA policies.
• Monitor alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and building systems.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with facilities and IT.
• Maintain logs and incident reports and ensure proper authorization for entry.
• Provide professional customer service to staff and visitors.
