The New York Historical seeks a Security Supervisor to oversee day-to-day and long-term security operations, ensuring a safe environment for visitors, staff, and collections. You will supervise personnel, patrol the museum, investigate incidents, and assist in emergency responses in the Director’s absence.

Responsibilities include coordinating security for events, supervising guards, monitoring CCTV and access systems, and leading fire safety and evacuation efforts in line with NYC Fire

Qualifications

• Current New York State Security Guard License required.
• Three years of security experience at a large public facility, with at least one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• CPR and First Aid certification up to date.
• Knowledge of CCTV and electronic security systems.

Responsabilités

• Plan, schedule, and supervise security personnel.
• Coordinate security needs for museum events and activities.
• Supervise contract guards.
• Conduct regular security inspections with the Director of Security.
• Prepare reports on incidents and security issues for the Director.
