Job summary

The Cleveland Museum Of Natural History seeks a dedicated Security Supervisor to assist the Manager of Protection Services in securing the building, exhibits, staff, volunteers, and visitors. You will lead patrols, monitor control rooms, and participate in incident investigations in a fast-paced museum environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent), 2 years in security, and First Aid/CPR certification; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor control room operations with cameras, alarms, and fire systems.
• Address visitor and employee concerns; manage emergencies per procedures.
• Patrol museum areas to maintain building security.
• Assist in accident and incident investigations and reports.
• Oversee daily parking garage operations and lane functionality.
• Manage key log for employees and issue/return keys accurately.
• Schedule Guards and supervise coverage; ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain relations with Museum staff, law enforcement, and safety agencies.
• Support mission and values through professional conduct.
• Operate weapon detection systems and enforce related policies.
