The Museum of Jewish Heritage is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to oversee day-to-day facilities, safety, and event support. You will manage maintenance, space scheduling, vendor relationships, and AV systems, ensuring spaces are clean, functional, and welcoming for programs, rentals, and performances.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this full-time role requires strong leadership, collaboration across departments, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in operations/museum administration.
• Minimum 5-7 years in operations/facilities management in a museum or similar setting.
• Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and vendor management.
• Experience supporting events, public programs, or performance spaces.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily maintenance and operations including supplies and cleaning.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Schedule maintenance teams and ensure spaces meet cleanliness standards.
• Oversee AV, lighting, sound systems for programs and events.
• Recommend operational improvements and capital upgrades.
• Support exhibitions, rentals, and events with staffing and logistics.
• Maintain Building Calendar and cross-department planning.
• Manage relationships with vendors and tenants.
• Supervise Operations staff and contracted teams.
• Oversee inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Develop and enforce facility policies and procedures.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with engineers and security.
• Ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
