Job summary

The Museum of The Bible Inc in Washington, DC is seeking a friendly Museum Store Associate to support day-to-day gift shop operations and deliver excellent customer service to a diverse global clientele.

You will handle sales and register transactions, assist guests with product selections, stock shelves, assist with merchandising, and help promote memberships and exhibits while maintaining safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED equivalent.
• One to three years of previous retail/sales experience.
• Excellent judgment.
• A desire to serve, assist, and help others.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Passionate about the Bible and mission to invite all people to engage with its transformative power.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to museum guests.
• Greet and engage diverse clientele and assist in their selections.
• Process sales and register transactions with ease.
• Support mail orders and website fulfillment.
• Routinely organize and restock products on the sales floor.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory balance.
• Promote exhibits and memberships.
• Follow safety policies and work as part of a team.
• Other duties as needed.
