Job summary

Conner Prairie Museum is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 2 to perform routine maintenance in the Museum Center, historic areas, and outbuildings, and to secure facilities and grounds. Schedule is Saturday through Wednesday (40 hours/week).

Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with related maintenance experience; familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds work is preferred. The role includes on-call maintenance and event support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in facilities or grounds maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders as assigned by Facilities Manager, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
• Performs setup, teardown, clean-up, and traffic control for special events.
• Performs landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trim work, and snow removal.
• Operates and maintains the water park.
• Participates in the maintenance on-call requirement.
