Conner Prairie Museum is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Level 2 to perform routine maintenance in the Museum Center, historic areas, and outbuildings, and to secure facilities and grounds. Schedule is Saturday through Wednesday (40 hours/week).
Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with related maintenance experience; familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds work is preferred. The role includes on-call maintenance and event support.

Principal Function: The Maintenance Technician – Level 2 is responsible for performing routine maintenance in and around the Museum Center, historic areas, and other outbuildings, as well as securing buildings, facilities, and grounds. Schedule will be Saturday through Wednesday (40 hours/week).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience working in facilities or grounds maintenance is required. Previous experience working in the museum and/or entertainment park industry is desired.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions (non‑weather), working near moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. Job may require work beyond regular hours and on weekends, and participation in the maintenance “on‑call” rotation is mandatory. Ability to operate a Conner Prairie vehicle is required, thus a valid driver’s license is required.
