Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks a Curator of Education and Outreach (Head of Learning and Community Engagement) for the Zimmerli Art Museum. The role directs learning programs for students, faculty, staff, and local communities, ensuring alignment with diversity and inclusion goals.

The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership, management, and external partners to expand civic engagement through the arts and education.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in art history, education, fine arts, humanities, or related field, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Three or more years in an advanced arts/cultural role leading/designing educational programs for diverse audiences.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and coordination for the Department of Learning and Community Engagement.
• Oversee development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs for Rutgers students, faculty, staff, and community members.
• Ensure museum participation in Rutgers and New Brunswick communities and align programs with DEI values.
• Collaborate with the museum director and senior management team.
• Build partnerships with academic departments, student organizations, schools, and community groups.
