Job summary

Princeton University Art Museum seeks an Audience Engagement Specialist to build partnerships with neighborhood groups, schools, libraries, and civic institutions while working with students and university partners to design inclusive programs.

The AES will manage public programs, coordinate vendors, supervise events, and mentor the Student Advisory Board, spending time in communities and evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and social media communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive partnerships and spaces.
• Emotional intelligence and ability to work across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with community partners, students, and university groups.
• Participate in events, meetings, and forums to foster engagement.
• Recruit and mentor Student Advisory Board members over four years.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate inclusive public programs.
• Coordinate logistics: planning, supplies, vendors, and event oversight.
