Rutgers University’s Zimmerli Art Museum seeks a Curator of Education and Outreach to lead the Learning and Community Engagement department. The role designs and delivers educational programs for students, faculty, staff, and nearby communities, ensuring alignment with the museum’s DEI values.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in art history, education, fine arts, humanities, or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience in an advanced position in an arts or cultural institution, leading/designing educational programs for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and coordination for the Zimmerli Art Museum's Learning and Community Engagement department.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs for Rutgers students, faculty, staff, and local communities.
• Ensures programs align with diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion values.
• Collaborates with the museum director and senior management; serves as an ambassador for partnerships with departments, schools, and community orgs.
• Engages diverse audiences and strengthens ties between the museum and New Brunswick communities.
