Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Storage Planner to support the Hawthorne Army Depot, focusing on storage planning, munitions movement, reporting, and space utilization. The role prepares the Master Storage Plan, coordinates receipts and movements, and ensures compliant storage and movement of munitions.

Responsibilities include reporting, inspections support, and coordinating with logistics, government, and vendor contacts to optimize space and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five+ years of direct experience in munitions logistics operations.
• Must obtain/maintain certifications per Master Training Plan.
• Must obtain/maintain a Nevada driver’s license.
• Must obtain/maintain government security clearance and ATF clearance.
• Proficient with computer hardware/software to prepare reports, maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and support the Master Storage Plan, coordinate storage planning to maximize space and support inspections.
• Prepare billing tonnage and other reports; maintain movement records and provide reporting for requirements.
• Coordinate carrier appointments; assign storage locations; audit storage processes for compliance.
• Identify, track, and research material discrepancies; support Traffic Management to resolve issues.
• Move materials per DoD/state/federal/ATF and Master Storage Plan; coordinate with stakeholders for compliant flow.
• Maintain safe work practices and report safety/environmental concerns.
