Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks a Director for Ammunition Logistics & Demil Operations (HWAD) to lead the Ammunition and Demil Directorate at Hawthorne, NV. You will oversee planning, execution, budgeting, and compliance with federal and military guidelines, reporting to the General Manager.

The role requires 10+ years in related operations with executive experience, a technical/management degree, and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or management field required.
• 10+ years in military or munitions operations with 2–5 years executive management experience required.
• Government contracting experience preferred.
• Must obtain/maintain NV driver’s license and government security clearance.
• Safety-sensitive duties awareness and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute operations for Ammunition and Demil Directorate at Hawthorne, NV.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements for operations.
• Manage resources and act as P&L budget holder for the Directorate.
• Lead strategic planning and mapping of munitions and support services activities.
• Provide oversight and leadership within Defense Industry Initiative ethics, succession, and diversity programs.
• Maintain safety, security, and environmental stewardship across all operations.
